Pretty good pizza, pretty bad service. I give people the benefit of the doubt, maybe they are having a bad day. But this review is based on more than one occurrence. The women servers are good, two of the men are extremely rude.

Went for the early bird. Got there at 5:20 and they wouldn't honor it even though we had 10 minutes to spare.

Came here with a group of nine. Server ****dy was efficient and pleasant. Pizza was good, crust perhaps a bit too crunchy, but better than most local chains. Salads were surprisingly good.

I really love Papa Joes pizza. Truly authentic NY pizza. Fast delivery and always a crowd pleaser. The wings are good too. It gets really crowded in there so I almost never dine in.

Solid pizza place. I prefer to eat in or carry out because the pizza seems better. The service is always good and they make a nice Greek Salad.

Worst service in the world. I'll never come back. Food is so so.

Great pizza. Always busy so you need to wait at least 15 - 20 minutes, but I am freaking sure that it is worth all the time!

The food was good however the service was unfriendly/unprofessional. We walked in looking to get some pizza but the staff didn't seem too happy to receive anymore guests (2 out of about 15 tables were filled). They were all busy cleaning and making conversation with each other while no one greeted us when we came in. After a few moments, one of the servers from the back of the restaurant said that we can sit anywhere we'd like. We felt pretty unwelcome at that point but we were hungry and tried to ignore it the best we could. Our server approached us with a less than enthusastic demeanor, didn't introduce herself, and waited for us to speak. I asked if they were closing soon, and she said no, we close at 9:30 (it was 8:40). She waits for us to look at the menu and asked us what we wanted to drink (we could barely hear her, she didn't make eye contact and practically whispered). We order our drinks and tell her we'd like to start with some wings, extra wet. She was confused by the order, gave me a puzzled look and walked away. We then hear her and the chef trying to figure out what I meant. He said, "Well if he wants it extra spicy, I can do that, but I'll make it spicy enough to the point where they won't want to order it again." and laughs. I look at him and give him an astonished look, and my fiance looks at me and says, just don't say anything. They finally realize I meant that I wanted extra sauce and place my order. Why a chef would want to make an inedible dish for a customer and laugh about it is beyond me. The server brings us plates and I notice one of them was still dirty. I let the server know and she replaced my plate, no apology though. We get our wings and Pizza with jalapenos and pepperoni which was pretty good. The pizza was cooked nicely and the flavor was good. The wings were fully cooked and extra sauce like I requested. As customers came in, it seems like the ruder the staff got. One of the staff at one point quickly yelled, "the diners closed!" before a customer even got a chance to be greeted. We've gone to the Papa Joes next to Amstar for years and have never had service issues, we'll probably just go there going forward. Its a shame because the pizza was pretty tasty and this location is closer to our house.

Food was great, service not so much. We pretty much felt unwelcome the whole time we were there.

OWNER'S SON (Mike) NEEDS AN ANGER-MANAGEMENT CLASS BEFORE HIS FAMILY GETS A LAWSUIT FOR POORLY TREATING EMPLOYEES. I was in from out of town, and happened to stop by Pappa Joe's because I had to pick up some office supplies at the store next door. I had plenty of time arrived just before the 'dinner rush' and found a table. I got my own menu and the waitress answered some questions and took my order. WHAT HAPPENED NEXT MADE ME SO UNCOMFORTABLE! I was reading something on my phone when I heard shouting from the kitchen. Looking up and the disturbance, I saw the 'head' of the kitchen was screaming at another of his kitchen staff. I thought I was in the middle of a Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares, because a few minutes later the same guy was yelling at a waitress as she worked the cash register. It continued!! What looked like a delivery person came in with a limp, and they got yelled at. I asked the person waiting on me who the fellah was that was screaming and was told it was "Mike, the owner's son." I told the staff this was not good nor acceptable and that "being Italian" was no excuse for an abusive work environment!"

I've never dined in at this location, though it doesn't appear to me much, if at all, different from the location in Longwood/Altamonte Springs (in the shopping center near jct. State Road 434 and Montgomery Road). I've stopped in at the Lake Mary location to carry out pizza for lunch and have always been happy with my experience. The staff is friendly, the pizza's great and the prices are very reasonable. Highly recommended. Be sure to check out the shop in Longwood/Altamonte Spr., too. (Sorry - it's on the border of the two towns, so I'm not sure which one to place it in!)

Really enjoyed the food here. I've done dine in and carry out and had great service each time. The gnocchi is super cheesy and delicious. Prices are reasonable. I might need to try them for delivery one night.

The service was good and the food was good. I thought the Italian Wedding Soup was just okay, and the garlic sticks had too much sesame seeds.

Great place for the family to get a well made pizza. I highly recommend the Stromboli. Fair pricing and good service.

  • AC D.

Staff and service is very good. Dining in, delivery, or takeout have all been in a timely manner. I can only give it 3 stars due to the pizza quality served. We've tried the pizza twice, the first was carry out so we thought we'd try again when we went in. It is chewy, plain, and taste terrible. The other meals there taste fine and have good portions. I'm not impressed with the lacking pizza quality
